InSightec Ltd., an Israeli company specializing in magnetic resonance-guided focused ultrasound, has appointed former MAKO Surgical Corp. chairman Maurice Ferré as CEO. The move comes as the Haifa-based firm secured $22 million in new funds to ramp up commercialization of its FDA-approved technology, which is designed for the noninvasive treatment of multiple diseases in women’s health, oncology and neurology.
