FDA has cleared Stryker Corp.’s Mako robotic system for robotic-arm assisted total hip arthroplasty surgery under the agency's 510(k) process, the company announced March 25 at the 2015 American Academy of Orthopedics in Las Vegas.
The company has bet big on the Mako technology which it says will revolutionize the large joint surgeries and is hoping to build its business around the robotic system.
