Victor J. Dzau, chancellor for health affairs at Duke University and CEO of the Duke University Health System, has been named the new president of the Institute of Medicine for a six-year term that will begin July 1. Of note, Dzau is also been a member of Medtronic Inc.’s board of directors, a post he has held since 2008.
