Surgery Recovery Protocol Promotion Funded By Edwards Foundation

Following the advice of a multi-stakeholder group that met in June, the Center for Medical Technology Policy and Avalere Health are founding a new forum to improve and accelerate the U.S. adoption of enhanced recovery protocols that can reduce mortality and morbidity following surgery.

The Edwards Lifesciences Foundation has awarded a grant to the Center for Medical Technology Policy (CMTP) and Avalere Health to develop and lead a new stakeholder forum dedicated to improving the adoption of enhanced surgery recovery protocols and reduce mortality and morbidity of surgical patients in the U.S.

This forum will be a “national multi-stakeholder partnership and the broad goal will be to foster ongoing stakeholder dialogue and to facilitate this sort of collaborative work and advance adoption of enhanced recovery programs in the U.S.,” Rachael M
