St. Jude Medical Inc. announced Jan. 27 that the first post-approval implant of the Nanostim leadless pacemaker was successfully performed at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital in London by Richard Schilling.
The patient was a 77-year-old woman with persistent atrial fibrillation. The procedure took just eight minutes to perform, according to St. Jude.
