FDA approved an advanced prosthetic arm manufactured by Deka R&D Corp. May 9 through its de novo pathway.
The device, called the DEKA Arm System, has the ability to translate electrical signals from the muscle into complex tasks. The research into the device had been supported by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s Revolutionizing Prosthetics program
