Teleflex Inc. announced Oct. 29 that it is acquiring privately-held Vidacare Corp. for $262.5 million in cash. San Antonio-based Vidacare’s intraosseous-access devices include the EZ-IO intraosseous infusion system, the OnControl bone marrow system and the OnControl bone access system. The devices, all of which are 510(k)-cleared and have CE marks, incorporate a patented power driver and one or more needles to access the inside of the bone for a variety of medical, diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
