Deep Brain Innovations, a company created by commercialization firm NDI Medical LLC, debuted at the Neurotech Investing and Partnering Conference in San Francisco May 24, with a novel algorithm for deep brain stimulation for Parkinson’s disease.
The firm, which calls itself DBI, has reported results from early clinical studies showing its novel deep brain stimulation (DBS) system creates appropriate symptom relief while expending less than half of the energy of existing DBS systems, according to CEO Geoffrey Thrope
