Douglas W. Kohrs retired as Tornier NV’s president, CEO and executive director Nov. 12. The orthopedic extremity device maker has named David H. Mowry as interim president and CEO. The firm is expected to begin a formal search for Kohrs’ replacement in the near future, with Mowry on the shortlist. Mowry joined Tornier in July 2011 as chief operating officer, and prior to that was senior VP and president of the neurovascular division of Covidien.
Tornier has also appointed Kevin C. Boyle interim vice chairman, to serve as a liaison between Mowry and the board of directors, effective Nov. 12.
