Device Makers Need New Skills To Play In Mobile Apps Space

Medical device makers that want to market mobile apps should make sure their engineers can write software code that can run on a smart phone or tablet computer, says Medical Connectivity Consulting principal Tim Gee.

The barriers for start-ups looking to compete in the mobile medical market are numerous and well known, from capturing financing for research and development and gaining reimbursement to demonstrating clinical benefit and navigating the regulatory process.
