Maker of arthroplasty and joint-related trauma technologies appoints Michael P. Simpson president and CEO, effective Feb. 21. Simpson replaces SBi’s Founder, Chairman and CEO Anthony G. Viscogliosi, who steps into the new position of executive chairman. Simpson most recently served as division president at Orthofix, an orthopedics device firm, and previously was vice president, regulatory and clinical affairs, at Exactech. He will report to Viscogliosi and the SBi board of directors, and was chosen for his deep understanding of the extremities implant market, Viscogliosi said.
